As one of the biggest manufacturing center of the world, China exports hundreds thousands trailers every year.
While they are thousands of trailer factory in in China, good or bad. If you are not familiar with Chinese factory, you may buy the wrong or bad quality trailers easily. So there are two key points I want to share to keep you away from bad quality trailers.
1. Main beam, be careful about the thickness!
As the main structure of the trailer, main beam and side beam works as the working platform of the trailer. The quality of the maim beam decide the quality of the trailer.
If the main beam is not strong enough, it may break when transporting very heavy equipment.
And there are several numbers you should care when you check the specification: height of the main beam, upper plate, middle plate and upper plate.
Take the 3 axle 60 ton low bed trailer as sample:
Height of the main beam, 500 mm
It is the standard thickness of the main beam for the 60 ton low bed trailer. If you are going to transport more heavier or uneven loading on the working platform, then the upper/middle/down plate should be thicken accordingly. For example, you want to transport 80 tons instead of 60 ton, the plate will be thicken to 18mm/12mm/20mm (upper/middle/down plate)
A little thing about the side beam:if the road condition of your country is not good , the side beam should be thicken, too. While there is no numbers to tell you how much should be thicken. All you need to do is tell your supplier that your road condition is not good. If he is professional, he will get your point.
There are many brands of axles. While the most used axle are BPW, FUWA, L1, and some China made small brand axle.
1>. BPW axle: German technology, there is Sino-foreign joint venture in China, considered as the best trailer axle we use on the trailer, as well as the most expensive. If you care axles quantity very much, it is the first opinion for you.
2>.Fuwa axle: China made best axles and most often used axle in the China trailers factory. There are very positive feedback from our old customers. While on the China market, they are some small factory fake the Fuwa axle. The genius Fuwa axle is made in Guangzhou, with the below logo on axle.
3>.Others China brand axle:
I didn’t mean others brands axles are not good, like L1 brand axle is kind of good. But in my personal knowledge, they are not as good as BPW and FUWA axle. But they are cheaper.
So some supplier may suggest you to use small brand axles when you bargain too hard or have very low target price when they try to reach order with you. However, one small brand axle may only save you round only 180 USD per piece! You may save round USD 500 for one trailer, but you may loose more later, like short life cycle.
In a word, if you do want to use the trailer longer and more safy, I strongly suggest use the good brand axle, like BPW and FUWA.
While there are also others details you should care, but here I just tell you these two important points you should care. If you got more questions, feel free to or message me.
